Introduction of Project Veer Gatha 3.0
Project Veer Gatha, initiated under the Gallantry Awards Portal (GAP) in 2021, aims to share the remarkable stories of Gallantry Awardees and instill patriotic values and civic consciousness among students through this National Contest for Students. It encourages creative projects in various media, including art, poems, essays, and multimedia, inspired by gallantry award winners. The Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education recognize the best projects at the national level.
Project Veer Gatha's Success
Project Veer Gatha has been a resounding success, with 8 lakh participants in Veer Gatha 1.0 (2021-22) and 19.5 lakhs in Veer Gatha 2.0 (2022-23). Hon'ble Raksha Mantri and Hon'ble Minister of Education have praised it as a revolutionary initiative.

The Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, launches Project Veer Gatha 3.0 in 2023-24, continuing its commitment to inspire and recognize student creativity.

The national competition follows a structured timeline:
28 July to 30 September 2023
- Schools upload one best entry per category to the MyGov portal.
17 September to 17 October 2023
- District-level evaluation of entries.
19 October to 10 November 2023
- Evaluation of entries at the State/UT level.
14 November To 10 December 2023
- National level evaluation.
Rewards and Recognition in this National Contest 2023
Winners will be celebrated at various levels:
National Level
- 100 winners (Super 100) will receive cash prizes and recognition.
State / UT Level
- 08 winners (two from each category) will be honored.
District Level
- 04 winners (one from each category) will be recognized.

Winners will be felicitated by relevant authorities at the national, state/UT, and district levels.
