About the Competition
The International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition (IAAC) offers students from all countries a unique opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in the captivating fields of astronomy and astrophysics. Participants tackle challenging problems, applying their creativity and passion for astronomy. This online competition provides a platform for students to receive certificates, awards, cash prizes, and global recognition.
Who Can Participate?
IAAC welcomes high-school and university students of all grades and from any country. There are two age categories: Junior (under 18 years) and Youth (over 18 years). Participants should have an interest in astronomy, along with a combination of intelligence and creativity. A working internet connection is necessary to submit solutions online through the provided submission form.
Prizes and Awards
- All participants receive participation certificates.
- The best students in both the Junior and Youth categories have the opportunity to win cash prizes of 150 USD, 100 USD, and 50 USD for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes, respectively.
- Outstanding participants from each country receive special national awards to honor their excellence.
Parents, teachers, and schools are encouraged to share this incredible opportunity with talented students, and we provide support and resources such as materials, flyers, and posters for schools and teachers.
