About the Competition
In accordance with the National Commission for Women Act of 1990, the National Commission for Women (NCW) was established as a statutory body to protect and promote women's rights and interests. As part of their commitment to women's development, the NCW is collaborating with MyGov to organize an annual Hindi magazine called 'Arunima'. The magazine aims to encompass a wide range of perspectives, including those of graduate and postgraduate students from various colleges and universities. These students are invited to participate in a story-writing competition focused on women's issues, solutions, economic empowerment, mental and intellectual development, and women-led development.
Technical Parameters
- Language: Entries must be in Hindi using Unicode font.
- Word Limit: Stories should be between 1500 and 2000 words.
- Originality: Participants must submit original stories.
- Submission: In the description box, participants need to provide their name, course, college name, address, and mobile number. Including the author's name or email in the story itself will result in disqualification.
Gratification
- Selected Entry: The chosen entry will receive a cash prize or an item worth Rs. 1500/-.
- Top Entries: The top entries will be featured in the National Commission for Women's Annual Hindi Magazine 'Arunima'.
Terms & Conditions
- Eligibility: The competition is open to all graduate and postgraduate students in India.
- Submission Method: All entries must be submitted through the MyGov.in portal; entries submitted through other mediums will not be evaluated.
- Language: Entries must be written in Hindi using Unicode font.
- Story Length: Stories must not exceed 2000 words.
- Single Entry: Each participant can submit only one entry; multiple entries will be considered invalid.
- Originality: Entries must be original; any form of plagiarism will lead to disqualification. Winning entries will be published in the National Commission for Women's Annual Hindi Magazine 'Arunima'.
- No Registration Fee: There is no charge or registration fee for participation in the competition.
- Participant Details: Participants must provide their name, course, college name, address, and mobile number in the description box. Mentioning the author's name or email anywhere in the body of the story will result in disqualification.
- Verification: The National Commission for Women reserves the right to verify the participants' original documents, such as proof of age, before awarding prizes.
- Profile Accuracy: Participants must ensure their MyGov profile is accurate and updated, including details such as name, photo, complete postal address, email ID, and phone number. Entries with incomplete profiles will not be considered.
- Competition Amendments: The organizers reserve the right to cancel, amend, or modify the competition or its terms and conditions without prior notice.
- Evaluation Decision: The decisions of the evaluation committee will be final and binding in all respects.
- Guideline Violations: Violation of any of the guidelines mentioned herein will result in disqualification.
- Jurisdiction: All disputes and legal complaints are subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi courts only.
