Building on a long-standing tradition of poets finding inspiration in visual artworks, Rattle has introduced a monthly series that encourages poets to submit their finest works influenced by a featured image.

How to Participate in the Ekphrastic Challenge
- Make it a habit to visit Rattle's website each month to discover the new artwork that will serve as your muse for poetry.
- Allow yourself the creative space of one month to craft and submit your poems, responding to the featured artwork.
- Ensure that your submissions directly engage with the current month's featured image.
- If you are eager to take part in the Ekphrastic Challenge, ensure that your poem vividly reflects the provided image. General poems unrelated to the artwork should be submitted under the General Poems category.
Prizes Await the Talented Wordsmiths
By participating in the Ekphrastic Challenge, you open doors to exciting opportunities and prizes! Each month, two winners will be carefully selected: one by the artist behind the featured image and the other by Rattle's esteemed editor. The winning poems will receive online publication and a well-deserved prize of $100 each (approximately Rs. 8k).
