About the Campaign
FairGaze, in collaboration with Sesame Workshop Initiative (India) Pvt Ltd and India Is Us, has launched the #OneDayForEnvironment drive in conjunction with World Environment Day, observed annually on June 5th.
This campaign aims to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG-13 (Climate Action), SDG-14 (Life below water), and SDG-15 (Life on Land). It encourages students from preschool, junior school, middle school, and senior school to take impactful actions towards environmental conservation.
Registration
To participate in the #OneDayForEnvironment campaign, students can register individually or through their schools. The registration form requires the following information:

Objectives of the Campaign
- Foster awareness and understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among the school community.
- Highlight the need for immediate, sustainable actions to conserve the environment.
- Educate students on how individual and local community actions can have global consequences.
- Expose students to global and local communities, challenges, and experiences, fostering empathy and care.
Who Can Participate?
This competition is open to students studying in classes 1st to 5th in any school, NGO, or community-based organization across India.
Participation Guidelines
The campaign encourages students to submit a 1-minute video showcasing their actions towards environmental conservation. The participation guidelines are as follows:
Guidelines
- Mode of participation: Online
- The contest is free for all students.
- Language of Submissions: English/Hindi
- Schools can submit multiple entries, but each student can only submit one entry.
- All participants will receive certificates.
How to Participate
To participate in the campaign, follow these steps:
- Click on the "Register Now" button.
- Fill out the registration form with the required details.
- After submitting the form, you will receive a username and password on your registered email.
- Use the provided login details to access the environment day submission page.
- Submit your 1-minute video on the submission page.
What to Include in the Video
The video should include the following elements:
- Start with a suggested opening line: "Hello, Chamki. I am excited to tell you that I have taken some actions to help the environment."
- Share the actions taken to conserve the environment.
- Emphasize how individual and local community actions can have global consequences.
Points to remember:
- Speak sincerely from the heart.
- Focus on the actions taken and their impact rather than grammar and sentence structure.
- The video size should not exceed 10MB.
- Participants can choose from the list of ten impactful actions provided or work on their own ideas.
Prizes & Giveaways
All participants will receive a certificate. Additionally, 25 lucky students who submit their stories will be selected for a virtual interaction with Chamki, a lively 5-year-old character known for her curiosity and innovative ideas.
